Pointe Claire, a quiet community situated in the West Island of Montreal is one of those "sleepy" area. It is a bit of a mystery as the West Island can be confusing for those who aren't familiar with its meaning. In the last 20 years, Brugel's roles in the world of television and on the screen have been numerous. The role of Rita from the award winning show The Handmaid's Tale was her most notable. Brugel is the only Canadian actor on the show in the season 1 and only appeared occasionally.
